Nigerian gay activist, Bisi Alimi, has expressed resentment over the adoption of Christianity and Islamic religion by Africa. In a post on his instagram page, the gay activist, noted that he was looking forward to the day Africans will gather their Bibles and Qurans and burn them in a market place. Alimi, in his post maintained that Europeans used the bible to enslave Africans and as such the black race should reject Christianity and Islam. The post reads, “I look forward to the day Africans across the continent will gather their Bible and Quran and burn them at the market place, while we go in search of who and what our authentic selves are. “It is the responsibility of Africans both young and old to make sure the continent regains its glory. The first winner of Big Brother Nigeria reality show, Katung Aduwak, has said the show was designed by its creators to attract controversies and create agenda for social discussions. According to him, for every time that the reality TV show stirred controversy in the public space, it actually went in line with the script of its organizers. He stated this during the weekend while chatting with entertainment correspondents in Lagos. Aduwak noted that from his experiences while in the house in 2006, the best way to emerge winner of the star prize pegged on Big Brother Naija was to always remember that the reality show was a game, be one’s self at all times and be strategic in playing the game. He said: “I’ve not really been able to watch it because of my busy schedule but based on what I’ve heard, it has sparked a lot of controversy and that is what the organisers want, so I would call it a success. “When I was in the house, I knew it was a game and the best way to win is by being yourself and being strategic. “While in the house, I learnt that the human mind is very resourceful and creative. In the larger world, we are spoilt for choice because we have a lot of things at our disposal but when you’re locked up, you would be forced to make do with the resources available to you. I think we can survive with a lot less than we think.”
Viewers are blaming Tboss for Bassey’s eviction from the Big Brother Naija show. On Sunday, Bassey became the eighth contestant to leave the house. On Saturday, February 18, 2017, after the weekly house party, TTT and Bisola spent time under the covers in an intimate position that started a conversation on Twitter. In an interview with Pulse Nigeria, the former Big Brother Naija housemate who is married, but was romantically involved with Bisola, denied receiving a blow job from her or leading her on. "I wouldn't say I led her on. You know there is this thing with people, once you see a guy close to a lady you automatically think that there's something going on," he said.
According to him, he often had just conversations with Bisola whenever they went under the covers. "Most of the times Bisola and I went under the covers, we were not allowed to take off our mic, but we did. Took it off and that's when we will talk; like real talk," he explained. "She told me a whole lot of stuff about herself. One thing I want to lay straight is, she never knew I was married."Explaining that Bisola simply had a lot of confidence in him, TTT said, "She shared a whole lot of experiences; how she struggles as a single mom, leaving her daughter and coming to this place, how it was difficult for her and all that." "So, definitely, we built that bond. There was this day we were under the covers and I just removed the covers and I said 'let's not just die here.' Because staying under the covers all the time probably was sending out the wrong signals already," he added. Explaining what he meant when he said what he shared with her wasn't real, TTT said, "on stage when I did say that what Bisola and I had wasn't real - as soon as I left the doors my game had ended, I wasn't playing anymore." On what kept him going, the married TTT and proud father of two said, "Each time or before I went to bed, I always went to the part where my clothes were. I have pictures of my kids that I look at every night and bring me back to the reality, not to forget why I'm there in the first place." The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the international friendly between the Super Eagles and Burkina Faso, which was scheduled for Monday in London, has been cancelled. “We regret to announce that the second friendly match we had scheduled for the Super Eagles as part of preparations for the remaining matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying series and the beginning of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification race would no longer take place on Monday, 27th March 2017,” Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Barrister Chris Green said. “The match in question is called off due to no fault of either the organisers or the Nigeria Football Federation. We will announce further plans for the Super Eagles’ preparation for these two important qualifying campaigns in due course.” It is understood that the game had to be called off, because some Burkinabe players failed to obtain British visas. The applications were still pending at the British Embassy in Morocco as at close of work on Friday, the last working day before match day in London.

Prof Wale Oke, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH has called on men to stop competing with their babies to suck the wives’ breast. Oke urged his fellow men to allow their babies to enjoy their natural meal. He spoke yesterday at the World Breastfeeding Week (WBW). The programme was organised by LASUTH Community Health Department in conjunction with the hospital’s Pediatrics. According to him, the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding were many. He said: “When a mother breastfeeds her baby, it creates bond between them. It is also a natural family mechanism. Breast-feeding mothers do not have bone diseases, breast and ovarian cancers”. Oke said the state had created an enabling environment for mothers with its policies to work and still feed their babies. “Working and breastfeeding can go together if mothers try because it is necessary to have healthy babies,” he said. On her part, First Lady of Lagos State, Wife of Lagos State Governor, Mrs Bolanle Ambode urged mothers to breastfeed their babies exclusively for six months so that they can be healthy. This, according to her, would prevent babies from coming down with childhood diseases, such as cough, diarrhea and catarrh, among others. Mrs Ambde, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the state’s Civil Service Pension Office, Mrs Ademola Olabowale, said medical science had made it known that breast supplied basic nutrients to newborns, adding that the breast milk remained the most important protein for babies’ growth. “The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends exclusive breastfeeding for six months, and mixed breastfeeding up to two years,” she said. Breast milk, she said, usually helps to build the immunity for the newborns, saying it would protect them from childhood killer disease

Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Thin Tall Tony, also called TTT, has said he won’t be able to work with one of the housemates, T-boss, after the house. He also revealed that all through his stay in the house, he had no connection whatsoever with her. Viewers and lovers of the ongoing Reality TV Show had the notion that he was ‘into’ T-boss just as he was, Bisola. But after his eviction from the house last Sunday, TTT said otherwise. He made this known in a chat with Beat FM. Asked how he feels knowing that his strategy of philandering with Bisola and TBoss didn’t work for him, he said, “To correct that, I didn’t play with anyone’s emotion. “I tried as much as I can to know who these ladies were. For me, I was more into Bisola based on what I would be able to learn from her as an artiste like myself. “I and Tboss had no connection whatsoever because even after the house, we won’t be able to work together; she is on a different level and Bisola is also on a different level that is also my own line. So, I connected only with Bisola.” It was also alleged that any man that got close to T-Boss ended up being evicted, as is the case of Miyonse and Kemen. But TTT said, “I don’t believe that’s what happened in my case. I did talk about it, I said the same thing but maybe she has a strong fan base and more support than anyone that has left so far. “The game is still being played and she is still up for eviction this week. So we’ll see what happens.” Asked if he is having problems with his marriage in any way, he said, “No, I’m not. My marriage is safe. The only thing that I’m looking forward to is kissing my wife and holding my kids. Earlier, TTT had disclosed that the reason he did not speak about his family, particularly his children, during his stay in the house was based on the decision he reached with his wife with regards to keeping the family matters private during the show.
